Plantation Police Department is accredited and recognized both nationally and on the state level, through the Commission on Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation. Plantation Police Department is staffed with 172 sworn officers, 94 full-time civilians and 4 part-time civilians, who are all committed to the principles of community policing.

The Plantation Police Department’s mission statement expresses the goal of the agency to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Plantation through a partnership with the community which promotes safe and secure streets and neighborhoods.
